Informal Data Collection Strategies
Think formative assessment, idea generation and ice breaker - roll these into one and you are thinking about informal data collection strategies. These are a great way to document your ongoing practice and inquiry in a broad range of educational or evaluation areas. By documenting your process you can make a visible record of ideas and learning. This visible record is useful as a form of evidence along with other ideas. By using clouds, comics and other informal strategies for data collection, you can track your thinking and understand what actions are furthering student learning.
